Lawrence Photo Alliance President Dan Coburn will lead a group discussion about self-promotion and his latest experiences with self-publishing. Dan will speak about his "Trading Up" philosophy for marketing photography and promoting himself as an artist. Coburn is a 2008 recipient of the Kansas Mid-Career Artist Fellowship Award presented by the Kansas Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. His work has recently been featured in group exhibitions at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, and the Soho Photo Gallery in New York. He is part owner of DaWayCo Publishing and recently released a book of his photographs entitled "Between Earth and Sky." Lawrence Photo Alliance members will be encouraged to share their own ideas and experiences regarding the topic of self-promotion.
