Since returning to Kansas to finish my BFA, I have been steeped in various art processes. Because of this, I don't believe in limiting myself to a specific medium or genre. Yet, there is a certain quality, a love for turned form, earthy, jewel tones, and a noir-ish lighting, that I bring to both painting and photography.

My portfolio is broad, ranging from macro nature shots, to weddings and portraits, to studies of the human body, to travel shots, to where my head has been lately, studies of the human condition and photojournalism. I believe photographer Richard Misrach said it best, "I’ve come to believe that beauty can be a very powerful conveyor of difficult ideas.”
